About This Project

Jimmy Williams brought the idea of a 50th anniversary project to Matt Vollum in the spring of 2017. After a few "planning" meetings at local Bloomington establishments, the Jefferson Basketball Documentary project was officially launched. Both Jimmy and Matt have deep roots with Jefferson Basketball and attribute much of their success to Jefferson Basketball. Jimmy and Matt have committed to over three years of work on making this project a reality. They are excited to spend time with the many special people who have helped to make Jefferson Basketball the legendary program that it is. We would love to have your support for this project. Who Are We?

Matt Vollum

Matt played for both Jeff and Jack Evens and graduated from Jefferson in 1991. Matt then came back and coached from 1994 to 2002. Matt is now a professional photographer and lives in Bloomington.

Jimmy Williams

Jimmy Williams has been the assistant coach to Jeff Evens since Jeff became head coach in 1997. Jimmy teaches adapted physical education in Minnetonka and lives in Bloomington.

Kevin Lynch

Kevin Lynch was part of the back to back state championships in 1986-87. He went on to play for the Gophers and on to many years as a professional basketball player. He now is an analyst with FSN.

Mike Carr

Mike Carr played for both Jeff and Jack evens and graduated from Jefferson in 1994. Mike is a teacher in Prior Lake.
